Guided Cancellation Actions
Version 2026-08-01
What this consent covers
With this consent, LowScout can track cancellation actions you choose to start: it records which recurring charge you are acting on, shows you step-by-step guidance, drafts scripts you can send yourself, schedules a follow-up reminder, and keeps an auditable status history. This consent enables the FEATURE only — before any individual action is recorded, you separately confirm exactly what it is for.
What LowScout does not do
In this release LowScout never contacts a merchant for you, never logs into your accounts, never stores merchant credentials, and never cancels anything on your behalf. You perform every cancellation yourself; LowScout guides and tracks. We never claim a cancellation succeeded — a cancellation is only shown as verified when your own later statements show the charge stopped, or you mark it done yourself (shown as unverified until statements confirm it).
Data handling
Action records contain internal identifiers, the merchant name as our engine detected it, statuses, and timestamps — never merchant account details or credentials. Every status change is recorded in your audit trail.
Optional and reversible
This consent is optional — every other feature works without it, including reading cancellation guidance. You can withdraw it at any time from Settings → Data & privacy; withdrawal takes effect immediately and blocks starting new actions. Your existing action history remains visible to you.
