AI Processing for Optional AI Features

What this consent covers
With this consent, LowScout may send limited structured financial facts that LowScout has already read or calculated about your recurring charges — merchant names as LowScout records them, amounts, billing cadence and the type of each finding — to an AI model provider, for two optional features only: a plain-English summary of your audit, and a draft cancellation script for a charge you choose. Each feature receives only what it needs: the summary receives facts from your recurring-charge audit; a cancellation script receives facts about the one charge you chose and LowScout’s cancellation guidance for that merchant. This consent does not cover Scout. We never send your uploaded documents, raw statement text, account numbers, or email address to an AI provider.
No AI provider is enabled yet
No third-party AI model provider is enabled today, so nothing is sent to one, even if you give this consent. Before we enable a provider, we will tell you which provider it is and how it handles your data, and ask you to accept an updated version of this consent; nothing is sent to that provider unless and until you do.
What the AI does and does not do
The AI only puts into words facts LowScout has already worked out; every amount and date comes from LowScout, not from the AI. Before any AI-written text is shown, every number in it is checked against the facts it was given. If any number does not match, the AI text is not shown: you see a plain summary built from the facts, or a standard script template, instead. The AI is instructed never to promise savings, and it never sees your documents.
Data handling
AI requests are made only from our servers, never from your browser. For each AI request, LowScout keeps a record of which facts were supplied (by reference), the model used, the result of the number check, and the text that was shown, so it can be audited.
Optional and reversible
This consent is optional — every other feature works without it. You can withdraw it at any time from Settings → Data & privacy; withdrawal takes effect immediately and AI summaries and scripts stop being generated the moment you withdraw.
