Recurring charges
What are recurring charges? How to find, understand, and stop them
A recurring charge — also called a recurring payment or recurring fee — is any payment that repeats on a schedule from the same merchant: a subscription, a membership, an insurance premium, a financing instalment, an automatic bill. The amount is often identical each time, but it does not have to be: a usage-based bill or a price rise still recurs. What makes a charge recurring is the rhythm, not the figure.
They are convenient, which is exactly why they are easy to forget. See which payments count as recurring — or start with whichever question fits your situation.
