The steps
Account → Manage your plan → Cancel subscription; Premium runs until the next billing date, then the account switches to the free tier. Plans billed through a partner company (e.g. a mobile or internet provider) cancel via that partner — see the Payment section of your account for their link.
How this charge appears on your statement
On a bank or card statement, Spotify often shows up as one of these — useful for confirming you’re cancelling the right charge:

If you subscribed through Apple, Google Play, Amazon, or another platform, you usually have to cancel with that platform rather than Spotify directly — the steps above note where that applies.
