Cancel a subscription
How to cancel Tinder
A Tinder subscription is cancelled wherever you bought it — the App Store, Google Play, or Tinder’s website. Deleting the app or your account does not cancel it. Here is each path.

First: where are you billed?
Think back to how you first subscribed. On an iPhone it is almost always the Apple App Store. On an Android phone it is usually Google Play. If you subscribed in a web browser at tinder.com, it is billed directly by Tinder. You must cancel through that same place.
Step-by-step
If you subscribed through the Apple App Store (most iPhone users)
- On your iPhone or iPad, open Settings and tap your name.
- Tap “Subscriptions”.
- Tap Tinder, then tap “Cancel Subscription”.
If you subscribed through Google Play (most Android users)
- Open the Google Play Store app.
- Tap your profile icon, then “Payments & subscriptions” → “Subscriptions”.
- Tap Tinder, then “Cancel subscription”.
If you subscribed on Tinder’s website (tinder.com)
- Go to tinder.com in a browser and sign in.
- Open Settings, find your subscription, and choose to cancel it there.
This applies only if you paid on the website in a browser, not through an app store.
Common mistakes that leave you still paying
- Deleting the app first. Deleting Tinder — or your Tinder account — does not cancel the subscription. Cancel where you were billed, confirm the charge has stopped on your next statement, and only then delete the app if you want to.
- Cancelling in the wrong place — an App Store subscription cannot be cancelled from Google Play or the website, and vice versa.
- Assuming a refund. Cancelling stops future charges; it does not refund the current period, which runs to its paid end date.
Questions
- Does deleting the Tinder app cancel my subscription?
- No. Deleting the app, or even deleting your Tinder account, does not cancel a paid subscription. You have to cancel through the App Store, Google Play, or Tinder’s website — wherever you originally paid — or the charges continue.
- Do I keep Tinder Gold or Platinum until the end of the month?
- Yes. After you cancel you keep using the subscription for the days you have already paid for; it simply does not renew, and past charges are not refunded.
